iMin Falcon 2 Max Tablet POS System, 12.6 inch Android 13, 8GB/128GB, 4G
The Falcon 2 Max with double the memory and storage, for venues running more than one app on the terminal. No built in barcode scanner on this configuration.

Memory is the quiet thing that decides how long a POS terminal stays useful. A tablet with 4GB of RAM runs one till app beautifully on the day you buy it. Two years later that app has grown, the venue has added a loyalty app, a roster app and a customer facing display, and the terminal that used to feel instant now pauses when staff switch between them. This configuration of the Falcon 2 Max doubles both numbers to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is the difference between a device sized for today and one sized for the life of the fleet.
The 128GB matters as much as the RAM in a specific case: holding product data on the device. A venue with a large catalogue, images against every line, and an offline transaction cache for when the internet drops, can fill 64GB faster than expected. Everything else matches the rest of the range, the same 12.6 inch 2560 x 1600 IPS panel, the same octa core processor, Android 13 with Google Mobile Services, 4G and Wi-Fi 5, in screen NFC and the 10,000 mAh smart battery. Read the pricing note below before you order, because this model sits in an awkward spot in the range.
Read this before you choose on price
This configuration has no built in barcode scanner, and at $1,579 it costs $180 more than the 4GB/64GB model that does have one at $1,399. So the honest advice is this: if what you actually need is scanning, buy the cheaper model and keep the $180. Only choose this one if you genuinely need the memory and will never scan from the tablet, for example a kitchen or order display, a self order kiosk, or a counter that already has a dedicated scanner wired in. If you need both, go to the 8GB/128GB with the scanner. Not sure? Call 1300 115 808 and we will work it out with you rather than sell you the wrong box.
Why choose this configuration
Switch between the till, loyalty, rostering and a customer display without the pauses.
Room for a large product file with images, plus an offline transaction cache for outages.
2560 x 1600 IPS, big enough to run a split layout rather than one screen at a time.
Contactless payment and staff tap on happen on the glass, with nothing extra on the counter.
38 Wh with real time health monitoring, so you can see a fleet ageing instead of guessing.
Keep a second carrier in reserve so an outage at one network does not stop trade.
Where it fits
Where the terminal runs the till plus loyalty, bookings or rostering, and staff move between them constantly.
A big screen running a single heavy app all day, where no one is ever going to scan a product barcode.
Buying headroom now is cheaper than replacing terminals in year three because the app outgrew them.

All four share the 12.6 inch panel, the octa core processor, Android 13 with GMS and the 10,000 mAh battery. The only two variables are memory and the scanner. If the big screen is what appeals but the budget is not there, the iMin Falcon 2 at 10.95 inch runs the same platform in a smaller body.
Docks, printing and accessories
A dock is how this tablet stops being a tablet and starts being a terminal. The attachment is magnetic, so it parks and lifts in a second with no cable to fight. None of the three are included:
- Basic Dock or Basic Folding Dock, for a tidy countertop with no printing at the terminal.
- 80mm Printer Dock, which adds an 80mm receipt printer at 250 mm/s with an automatic cutter and brings its own ports, a DC jack, two USB-A, RJ12 for a cash drawer and RJ45 for Ethernet. Paper is 58mm or 80mm wide on rolls to 80mm diameter. Those two USB-A ports are also the neatest way to hang a wired scanner off this particular model.
- Falcon 2 Max protective case, with a strap, for staff carrying the tablet rather than leaving it docked.
What is included, and what is not
Included with this part number:
- iMin Falcon 2 Max tablet, 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM, with 4G
- Android 13 with Google Mobile Services, so the Play Store and your POS app install normally
- In screen NFC, fingerprint reader, cameras and dual speakers, all built into the tablet
Not included:
- No built in barcode scanner. That is the /2D part numbers, not this one
- No dock. The Basic, Folding and 80mm Printer docks are separate orders, so tell us which one you want and we will quote it with the tablet
- No case. The Falcon 2 Max protective case is sold separately
- No cash drawer or receipt printer unless you take the 80mm Printer Dock, which provides both the printer and the drawer port
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this model include a barcode scanner?
No. iMin supplies the industrial 1D/2D scanner as an option on the Falcon 2 Max, and only the /2D part numbers carry it. On this page you are looking at TTIMFALCON2MAX002, which is the 8GB/128GB tablet without the scanner. The scanner version at the same memory is TTIMFALCON2MAX004.
Why does the 4GB model with a scanner cost less than this one?
Because the scanner module and the memory upgrade are priced separately, and the memory step costs more than the scanner does. That produces a genuine trap in the range: at $1,579 this model is dearer than the $1,399 4GB/64GB with a scanner, so if scanning matters more to you than memory, the cheaper device is the better buy. We would rather say that plainly than have you order on screen size alone and find out later.
Is 8GB of RAM actually necessary for a POS tablet?
Not for a single till app, no. It becomes worth paying for when the terminal is doing more than one job at once, when you hold a large product catalogue with images locally, or when you want the fleet to still feel quick in three or four years. If your venue runs one cloud POS app and nothing else, the 4GB model will do the work and the money is better spent on a dock or a case.
What is the difference between this and the standard iMin Falcon 2?
Size and battery. The Falcon 2 Max is 12.6 inch at 2560 x 1600 with a 10,000 mAh battery; the Falcon 2 is 10.95 inch at 1920 x 1200. They share the processor, Android 13 with GMS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2 and the magnetic dock idea. Choose the Max when the screen is doing real work rather than just showing a total.
Can I use a separate scanner with it?
Yes, and for some setups that is the better answer anyway. A Bluetooth scanner pairs to it normally, and the USB-C port supports OTG so a wired scanner works too. If the tablet lives on the 80mm Printer Dock, that dock also provides two USB-A ports, which is the tidiest way to run a wired scanner at a fixed counter.
How much storage is actually free out of the 128GB?
Android and the preinstalled software take a share, so the usable figure is always below the headline number, and iMin does not publish an exact free space figure. The point of 128GB is not the raw number so much as the headroom: there is a TF card slot as well if you need to extend it later.
Does it come with a dock?
No. The Basic Dock, Basic Folding Dock and 80mm Printer Dock are all separate orders. Tell us how the terminal will be used and we will quote the right one with the tablet so the part numbers match.
What warranty applies?
12 Months Return to Base. Return the unit to us inside the warranty period and we handle the repair or replacement with iMin.
Product summary
The iMin Falcon 2 Max 8GB/128GB (POS Plaza SKU TTIMFALCON2MAX002) is the large memory, no scanner configuration of iMin's 12.6 inch Android POS tablet, listed by POS Plaza at $1,579 including GST. Buyers should note two things. There is no built in barcode scanner on this part number, which iMin fits only to the /2D models TTIMFALCON2MAX003 and TTIMFALCON2MAX004. And it is priced above the 4GB/64GB model that does include a scanner, so it is the right choice only when memory matters and scanning does not. What it buys is 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which suits terminals running several apps at once or holding a large local product catalogue with an offline transaction cache. Shared with the rest of the range: Android 13 64 bit with Google Mobile Services, an octa core processor (dual core Arm Cortex-A76 at 2.2GHz plus hexa core Arm Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz), a 12.6 inch 2560 x 1600 IPS multi touch display, 2G/3G/4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, in screen NFC, a choice of eSIM with one Nano SIM and a TF card or two Nano SIMs with a TF card, 2 MP and 13 MP cameras, fingerprint unlock, 1W dual speakers, USB-C with OTG, a pogo pin dock connector, and a 3.89V 10,000 mAh 38 Wh smart battery with real time health monitoring. Physically it is 292.80 x 191.55 x 9.50 mm and 560 g, with a 1.0 m drop rating and a -10 to 50 degrees C operating range. Docks and the protective case are separate line items. Warranty: 12 Months Return to Base.
