iMin Falcon 2 Max Tablet POS System, 12.6 inch Android 13, 8GB/128GB, 4G, with 2D Scanner
Every option the Falcon 2 Max offers, in one part number: the large memory, the 4G radio and the built in rotating barcode imager.

The Falcon 2 Max comes four ways, and this is the one with nothing left off. You get the 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that keep a terminal quick when it is running more than one app, the 4G radio that keeps it trading when the venue Wi-Fi drops, and the industrial 1D and 2D imager that means staff never need to pick up a second device to scan. Everyone else in the range is trading one of those three away to save money. Whether that trade is worth making depends entirely on the venue, and the comparison further down this page lays out exactly what each of the cheaper configurations gives up.
The hardware under all four is the same and it is well judged for counter work: a 12.6 inch IPS panel at 2560 x 1600, an octa core processor pairing a dual core Arm Cortex-A76 at 2.2GHz with a hexa core Cortex-A55, Android 13 with Google Mobile Services so your POS app installs from the Play Store as normal, in screen NFC so contactless happens on the glass, and a 3.89V 10,000 mAh smart battery that reports its own health rather than leaving you to guess when a unit is tired. The scanner head swivels through 90 degrees of continuous rotation, which is the detail that stops awkward labels being an argument.
What the cheaper configurations give up
There are four Falcon 2 Max part numbers and they are easy to confuse, because the names differ by a few characters and the prices run from $1,299 to $1,749. In short: TTIMFALCON2MAX001 at $1,299 drops the scanner and halves the memory; TTIMFALCON2MAX003 at $1,399 keeps the scanner but halves the memory; TTIMFALCON2MAX002 at $1,579 keeps the memory but drops the scanner, and is therefore dearer than a model that has one. This page is the only part number with both. If you are specifying a fleet, the comparison table below is the fastest way to see which compromise you can live with.
Why choose this configuration
Headroom for several apps at once and for a large local catalogue with images.
Enterprise class scanning of printed barcodes and codes shown on a phone.
90 degrees of continuous rotation, so the label can be awkward and the scan is not.
2560 x 1600 IPS, room for a split layout rather than one screen at a time.
38 Wh with real time health monitoring, driving the screen and the scanner.
Commercial grade for a shop floor or a dining room, with an optional case and strap.
Where it fits
Scan, price check and settle from one device, with the memory to keep a big catalogue on board when the line is out the door.
Take orders on the floor, then use the same tablet to receive deliveries and count stock after service.
Scan parcel labels, capture a signature and sign off against the order without going back to a desk.

All four share the 12.6 inch panel, the octa core processor, Android 13 with GMS and the 10,000 mAh battery. The only two variables are memory and the scanner. If the big screen is what appeals but the budget is not there, the iMin Falcon 2 at 10.95 inch runs the same platform in a smaller body.
Docks, printing and accessories
Even the full configuration does not include a dock, and on a fixed counter the dock is what completes the setup. All three attach magnetically to the back of the tablet:
- Basic Dock and Basic Folding Dock, the plain stands, for a counter that prints somewhere else.
- 80mm Printer Dock, the one most fixed counters want: an 80mm thermal receipt printer at 250 mm/s with an automatic cutter, 58mm or 80mm paper on rolls to 80mm diameter, plus a DC jack, two USB-A ports, RJ12 for a cash drawer and RJ45 for Ethernet.
- Falcon 2 Max protective case, with a strap, for the shifts where the tablet leaves the dock.
What is included, and what is not
Included with this part number:
- iMin Falcon 2 Max tablet, 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM, with 4G
- The built in industrial 1D and 2D barcode imager, on its 90 degree swivel mount
- Android 13 with Google Mobile Services, so the Play Store and your POS app install normally
- In screen NFC, fingerprint reader, cameras and dual speakers, all built into the tablet
Not included:
- No dock. The Basic, Folding and 80mm Printer docks are separate orders, so tell us which one you want and we will quote it with the tablet
- No case. The Falcon 2 Max protective case is sold separately
- No cash drawer or receipt printer unless you take the 80mm Printer Dock, which provides both the printer and the drawer port
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly makes this the full configuration?
It is the only Falcon 2 Max part number that carries all three options at once: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, the 4G radio, and the built in 1D/2D scanner. The other three each leave one of those out. TTIMFALCON2MAX001 has neither the memory nor the scanner, TTIMFALCON2MAX003 has the scanner at the lower memory, and TTIMFALCON2MAX002 has the memory without the scanner.
Is the scanner good enough to replace a handheld?
For most retail and hospitality work, yes. It is an industrial 1D and 2D imager described by iMin as enterprise class with a wide field of view and broad working range, and it reads codes from screens as well as paper. Where a handheld still wins is sustained high volume checkout, because holding a 560 g tablet up to scan hundreds of items in a row is harder on the operator than a dedicated scanner on a stand. For scanning in bursts, on the floor, or at a service counter, the built in imager is the better arrangement.
What scan engine does iMin use?
iMin does not publish the scan engine vendor or model for the Falcon 2 Max, so we do not state one. What they do publish is the capability: enterprise class 1D and 2D scanning on a swivel mount with 90 degree continuous rotation, a wide field of view and a broad working range. If a tender or an integration needs the exact engine, ask us and we will confirm it in writing rather than guess.
Will it run my POS software?
It runs Android 13, 64 bit, with Google Mobile Services, so Play Store distribution works normally and that covers most cloud POS platforms used in Australia. The one thing worth confirming with your provider is support for a 12.6 inch Android tablet specifically, since a few apps are laid out for phones or 10 inch screens and will letterbox on this panel. We will check that with you before you order if you are not sure.
Can I run two SIMs for redundancy?
Yes. The Falcon 2 Max takes either an eSIM plus one Nano SIM plus a TF card, or two Nano SIMs plus a TF card. Running two carriers is a sensible precaution for a venue that cannot stop taking payments, since a single carrier outage then does not take the terminal down with it.
What docks are available?
Three, all sold separately: a Basic Dock and a Basic Folding Dock for a clean countertop, and an 80mm Printer Dock that adds a thermal receipt printer at 250 mm/s with an automatic cutter, a cash drawer port over RJ12, Ethernet over RJ45 and two USB-A ports. The tablet attaches magnetically, so the same unit is a fixed terminal at the counter and a mobile one on the floor.
How long does a charge last with the scanner in use?
iMin rates the battery at 3.89V and 10,000 mAh, which is 38 Wh, and it reports its own health in real time. Scanning draws more than the screen alone, so treat a full trading day as the design intent rather than a promise, and use the magnetic dock whenever the tablet is parked. Because docking takes a second and needs no cable, in practice it stays charged without anyone managing it.
What warranty does it carry?
12 Months Return to Base. Send the unit back to us within the warranty period and we handle the repair or replacement with iMin.
Product summary
The iMin Falcon 2 Max 8GB/128GB with 2D scanner (POS Plaza SKU TTIMFALCON2MAX004) is the top configuration of iMin's 12.6 inch Android POS tablet and the only one of the four POS Plaza part numbers carrying the large memory, the 4G radio and the barcode imager together, at $1,749 including GST. The imager handles 1D and 2D codes on a swivel mount with 90 degree continuous rotation; iMin publishes the capability as enterprise class with a wide field of view and a broad working range, but not the engine vendor. Memory is 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. The platform, common to all four, is Android 13 64 bit with Google Mobile Services on an octa core processor combining a dual core Arm Cortex-A76 at 2.2GHz and a hexa core Arm Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz, driving a 12.6 inch 2560 x 1600 IPS multi touch panel. Networking spans 2G, 3G and 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS and in screen NFC, with the SIM tray configurable as an eSIM plus one Nano SIM plus a TF card or as two Nano SIMs plus a TF card. The remaining hardware comprises 2 MP front and 13 MP rear cameras, fingerprint unlock, 1W dual speakers, a USB-C port supporting OTG, a pogo pin dock connector and a 3.89V 10,000 mAh 38 Wh smart battery that monitors its own health. The enclosure measures 292.80 x 191.55 x 9.50 mm, weighs 560 g, and is rated to a 1.0 m drop across -10 to 50 degrees C. The Basic Dock, Basic Folding Dock, 80mm Printer Dock and protective case are all ordered separately. Warranty: 12 Months Return to Base.
