The iMin Falcon 2 Max is the large format member of the Falcon family, a 12.6 inch Android 13 tablet built to be a complete point of sale terminal rather than a consumer tablet pressed into service. The screen is the point of it: 2560 x 1600 on a 12.6 inch IPS panel gives you room to show a full menu grid, a running order and a customer facing total at the same time, which a 10 inch tablet simply cannot do without scrolling. Behind it sits an octa core processor, a dual core Arm Cortex-A76 at 2.2GHz paired with a hexa core Cortex-A55, and in this configuration 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage.
What makes it work as POS hardware is the detail around the edges. NFC is built into the screen, so contactless payment and staff tap on happen on the glass with no separate reader cluttering the counter. The back carries a pogo pin connector and a magnetic dock design, so the same tablet is a fixed terminal when it is parked and a mobile one the moment it is lifted off. There is 4G alongside Wi-Fi 5, with a dual SIM or eSIM arrangement that lets you keep a second carrier as a fallback. The 10,000 mAh battery reports its own health, which matters once a fleet has been in service a couple of years. Read the note below before you order, because this part number is the one without the barcode scanner.
This configuration (TTIMFALCON2MAX001) does not include a built in barcode scanner. iMin supplies the industrial 1D/2D scanner module as an option on the Falcon 2 Max, and only the /2D part numbers carry it. If your staff need to scan product barcodes from the tablet itself, order the 4GB/64GB model with the 2D scanner instead, or pair this tablet with a separate Bluetooth or USB scanner. All four run the same 12.6 inch panel, the same processor and the same connectivity. The only two decisions are whether you need the built in scanner and whether 4GB of RAM is enough for your app. If the screen size is what you are after but the budget is not, the smaller iMin Falcon 2 at 10.95 inch shares the same platform.

No. This is the reason to read the part number carefully. iMin offers the industrial 1D/2D scanner as an option on the Falcon 2 Max, and POS Plaza stocks both ways: TTIMFALCON2MAX001 (this page) without it, and TTIMFALCON2MAX003 with it for $100 more at the same memory. If your staff scan product barcodes at the counter, take the scanner model or budget for a separate Bluetooth or USB scanner. Everything else about the two is the same.
Screen size, mostly. The Falcon 2 Max is 12.6 inch at 2560 x 1600 while the Falcon 2 is 10.95 inch at 1920 x 1200, and the Max carries a bigger 10,000 mAh battery to drive it. They share the same octa core processor, the same Android 13 with GMS, the same Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2, and the same magnetic docking idea. Take the Max if the screen is doing real work, a long menu grid or a customer facing view. The Falcon 2 is the better buy if it is mostly a payment terminal.
It runs Android 13, 64 bit, with Google Mobile Services, so anything distributed through the Play Store installs the normal way, and that covers most cloud POS apps used in Australia. Worth checking with your POS provider that they support a 12.6 inch Android tablet specifically, because a few apps are laid out for phone or 10 inch screens and will letterbox. Real world life depends on screen brightness, 4G use and how hard your app works the processor, so treat a full trading day off the dock as the design intent rather than a guaranteed number. If it lives on a dock it is charging whenever it is parked.
Both, but not all at once. The Falcon 2 Max gives you either an eSIM plus one Nano SIM plus a TF memory card, or two Nano SIMs plus a TF card. The practical use is a second carrier as a fallback, so a network outage at one carrier does not stop you taking payments.
No dock is included with the tablet. iMin makes three: a Basic Dock and a Basic Folding Dock for a clean countertop, and an 80mm Printer Dock that adds a thermal receipt printer at 250 mm/s with an automatic cutter plus a cash drawer port and Ethernet. The tablet attaches magnetically, so it lifts off for table service and goes back to being a fixed terminal when you drop it on. Ask us to quote the dock with the tablet so the part numbers match.

That is commercial grade, built for a counter or a dining room rather than a loading dock or a cold store.
