More About These Labels
The facestock here is a synthetic film, not paper. Water does not soften it, oils and solvents do not break it down, and it does not fibre up or tear when handled hard, so the label and its barcode stay readable.
Thermal transfer is the print method, and the ribbon matters as much as the label: use resin or wax/resin so the image resists the same moisture and rubbing the facestock does. Wax alone does not bond properly to a synthetic face, and direct thermal printing does not work on it. The permanent adhesive bonds firmly and is not meant to be lifted again. Perforation between labels lets each one tear off cleanly by hand.
At 100mm (W) x 150mm (L) on a 25mm core, this size is commonly used for pallet, drum and bulk container labels, outdoor plant and equipment signage, dangerous goods labelling, and industrial washdown areas. The 25mm core fits desktop thermal transfer printers such as Zebra, TSC, Brother and Datamax.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these labels waterproof?
Do I need a special ribbon?
Will they fit my printer?
Can they be used outdoors or in a freezer?
Worth it when a paper label has already failed you at this size, or when the label has to stay scannable after a washdown, a freezer cycle or months outdoors. For dry indoor use, paper stock is the cheaper pick. Not sure which label or ribbon suits your printer? Call POS PLAZA on 1300 115 808 or browse the Synthetic Labels range.
