The facestock here is a synthetic film, not paper. Water does not soften it, oils and solvents do not break it down, and it does not fibre up or tear when handled hard, so the label and its barcode stay readable.
Run the roll on a thermal transfer printer with a resin or wax/resin ribbon. Resin bonds a sealed image to the plastic that survives solvent wipes and abrasion. Skip plain wax, which smears, and direct thermal, which cannot mark synthetic stock at all. The permanent adhesive bonds firmly and is not meant to be lifted again. Supplied without perforation between labels, which suits automatic applicators and peel-and-present printers.
At 75mm (W) x 48mm (L) on a 25mm core, this size is commonly used for product and packaging labels, asset and equipment identification, workshop and fluid labels, and cold-store or washdown areas. The 25mm core fits desktop thermal transfer printers such as Zebra, TSC, Brother and Datamax.
