This is the top of the RT-2015Q range: the pole mount chassis with 8GB of DDR3L and a 128GB SSD behind it. The Q configuration ships without a base, is designed to be mounted on a pole or a fitted stand, and keeps an easy access service panel in the back cover so the terminal can be opened in place.
The 8GB is what separates it from the other Q build. Point of sale has moved to cloud back ends and browser based reporting, and a terminal that also runs a payment application alongside the till program is the one that notices four gigabytes. The 24V powered USB port runs a receipt printer straight off the terminal, saving a power brick and an outlet. Ports are three RS232, one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, the 24V powered USB, LAN, VGA on a pin header, mini DisplayPort, a cash drawer port, a speaker port and an M.2 slot. The chassis is fanless die-cast aluminium around a 15 inch projected capacitive screen at 1024 x 768, on an Intel J1900 quad core up to 2.42GHz. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64 bit is preloaded.
