LTSC is the detail worth understanding. It is the Windows branch that takes security updates but not feature updates, so the terminal will not reinvent itself or demand a restart for a new Windows release in the middle of a trading day, and it is the build most point of sale vendors certify against. LTSC is the long term servicing channel. It receives security updates but no feature updates, so the terminal does not change behaviour or restart for a new Windows release during trade. It is also the build most point of sale software vendors test and certify against.
For a single till application on an LTSC build, yes, and that is how most of these are deployed. If the terminal will also run a browser based back office, a loyalty client and a payment application at the same time, the 8GB build is the safer specification.
