The Posiflex PS-3615 is a fanless 15 inch touch terminal on Intel's Apollo Lake J3455, a quad core part running up to 2.3GHz. It pairs that with 8GB of DDR3L memory and a 128GB M.2 SSD, and ships with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 64 bit preloaded. LTSC matters on a till: it is the Windows branch that does not push feature updates at you mid trade.
The display is a 15 inch TFT LCD at 1024 x 768 with projected capacitive touch, the glass touch technology that responds to a light tap rather than needing pressure. There is no fan in the chassis, which removes the part most likely to fail and stops the terminal drawing dust through itself. It sits on the Generation 7 slim line base, the compact Posiflex base designed to keep a counter footprint small. Backed by a 24 Months Return to Base warranty.
Why choose this terminal
Fanless
No fan to fail and no vents pulling dust and grease into the chassis.
PCAP glass touch
Projected capacitive touch, responsive to a light touch and flat to clean.
Apollo Lake J3455
Intel Celeron J3455, quad core up to 2.3GHz with 2MB cache.
8GB and an M.2 SSD
8GB of DDR3L and a 128GB M.2 SSD, so the till boots and settles quickly.
Windows 10 IoT LTSC
The long term servicing branch, which does not interrupt trade with feature updates.
Generation 7 slim base
Posiflex's slim line base, chosen to keep the counter footprint down.
Where it fits
Counter service retail
A straightforward 15 inch till with the screen size and resolution most retail POS software is laid out for.
Cafes and quick service
Fanless and sealed, so steam, flour and grease have nothing to be drawn into.
Fleet standardisation
A long lived Posiflex platform on an LTSC Windows build, which is what keeps a multi site fleet consistent.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does fanless actually buy me?
Two things. There is no fan to seize or clog, which is the most common hardware failure in a till, and there are no ventilation holes drawing airborne dust, flour and cooking grease into the electronics. In a cafe or a bakery that is the difference between a terminal lasting years and one dying in a season.
What is Windows 10 IoT LTSC?
LTSC is the long term servicing channel of Windows. It receives security updates but not feature updates, so the terminal does not change behaviour or restart for a new Windows release in the middle of trade. It is the build most point of sale software is certified against.
Is 1024 x 768 enough?
For point of sale, yes. Most retail and hospitality POS layouts are designed around it, and the larger button targets it produces are easier to hit accurately at speed than a dense high resolution layout.
What processor is in it?
An Intel Celeron J3455, the quad core Apollo Lake part, running up to 2.3GHz with 2MB of cache.
Can I mount it on a pole instead of the base?
This build ships on the Generation 7 slim line base. Posiflex builds pole mount configurations in the same family, so call 1300 115 808 and we will quote the right part number.
How long is the warranty?
24 months return to base.
