Overview
POS PLAZA will match the price of an identical, in-stock product currently advertised for sale by an eligible Australian reseller, subject to the conditions below. This policy is offered at our discretion and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Eligible Retailers
We will only consider price match requests against genuine, Australian-registered retailers who:
- Hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and operate a public-facing Australian retail storefront (online or physical);
- Sell the product at a publicly advertised retail price available to any customer, with no login, account approval, or trade credential required to view or purchase at that price;
- Carry the identical product — same brand, model number, specification, and condition (new, not refurbished, ex-demo, or clearance stock);
- Have the item genuinely in stock and available for immediate purchase and delivery within Australia at the time of the request.
Exclusions
We do not price match against:
- Online marketplaces and third-party marketplace listings, including eBay, Amazon (including Amazon Marketplace and Amazon Warehouse), Catch, Kogan Marketplace, Facebook Marketplace, or any similar multi-seller platform;
- Overseas retailers, importers, and grey-market sellers, including any business not registered and operating as an Australian retailer, or any price that includes indirect importation, parallel importing, or non-Australian warranty/support;
- Wholesale, trade, distributor, or account-only pricing — i.e. prices offered by businesses that sell primarily to other businesses, installers, or trade customers rather than to the general public, or prices only visible after logging into a trade account, requiring a business/trade application, or requiring minimum order quantities. (Internal note: this covers distributors such as Sektor, Aniluin, and Goodson — kept out of the published wording so the clause doesn't need editing every time a distributor relationship changes.)
- Prices from resellers with restricted, damaged, refurbished, ex-display, clearance, or run-out stock;
- Bundled, package, or promotional deals (e.g. free gift with purchase, buy-one-get-one, financing/interest-free offers) that are not a direct like-for-like unit price;
- Auction prices, "make an offer" prices, or negotiated prices not available as a standing advertised price;
- Prices resulting from an obvious pricing error by another retailer;
- Any price no longer current at the time we assess the request.
How to Request a Price Match
To request a price match, provide:
- A direct link to the competitor's current, live product listing (screenshots must clearly show the date/time and full URL);
- Confirmation the product is in stock and available for purchase at that retailer at the time of your request;
Requests must be submitted before completing your purchase. Price match requests submitted after an order has been placed will not be considered under any circumstances — we recommend confirming a price match before checking out. Requests will be validated against the live listing at the time of assessment — expired, edited, or no-longer-available listings will not be honoured.
Our Discretion
POS PLAZA reserves the right to:
- Verify the eligibility of any retailer or listing before approving a match;
- Refuse or withdraw a price match at any time if the competitor listing cannot be verified, is no longer current, or does not meet the criteria above;
- Limit price matching to one unit per customer, per product;
- Amend or withdraw this policy at any time without notice.
